Producing 3D modelled architectural illustrations can be quite straightforward at times, but when combining the modelling techniques with a high level of skill in Photoshop and a well trained eye for good usage of light and shade, we can produce even better results than possible using only 3D software, the results of which can often look flat and uninspired. One excellent example of the combination of these techniques is this architectural illustration. These examples needed, by definition, to be extremely accurate, not only in scales and proportion, but in terms of materials depicted. The environs of any 3D visuals can be modelled attractively as in this example of an 'eco house'. We have two methods of producing architectural illustrations... - 3D modelling software - This method is used to create three dimensional views of architectural projects. - Photoshop - This technique is used to produce attractive, accurate orthographic views of architectural projects, see this sample for an idea of how they look. As well as the more obvious architectural illustration exterior views, we have produced an interesting selection in detailed, 3d modelled interiors.
